Your added ridiculously large tires to your little truck and stickered your back window with “Extreme Off-Road.” I’m sure you blow everyone out of the water when you’re driving on dirt roads and muddy fields.

But man, I kicked your ass on MoPac today.

Honeymoon, here we come

I’m more than a little excited about our honeymoon coming up. We decided to go to Portland, Oregon, and according to a co-worker who used to live there, we’ve chosen a great time of year to visit. We’ll be there during the last week of May, when the weather is mild and the flowers are blooming.

We’re staying at The Benson Hotel, which has complementary wine tastings each night in their extensive wine cellar. Expedia also claims that they have Nintendo consoles in each guestroom, but I can’t find that information on the hotels website. Oh, how I wish upon wish that the Nintendo console will greet us when we arrive.

One place I’m sure we’re going to spend some time at is Powell’s Books. They claim to be “the largest independent used and new bookstore in the world.” And no sales tax in Oregon!!

The place I’m newly ecstatic about visiting is Ground Kontrol. I can’t wait to play Frogger again. And apparently there is a plethora of pinball machines.

We didn’t want our honeymoon to be the typical beach resort honeymoon. I think we’ve made the right choice. My only regret is that we’re not rich enough to extend our stay to a few weeks.

The Dark Knight

I’m still heartbroken about him.

And at thank goodness they saw the light and replaced Katie Holmes with Maggie Gyllenhaal. Maggie’s 10 times the actress Katie is.

Movie Trailers

I’ve taken some time tonight to check out apple.com’s trailer site. If you in any way like to watch movies/movie trailers, this site is either a blessing or a curse.

I’ve found some I think look interesting:

Taxi To The Dark Side – A documentary that you won’t like if you dig Donald Rumsfeld.

Snow Angels – Sam Rockwell looks amazing as always.

Beaufort – I’d really like to see this, but I’m not sure if it will be out anywhere near me any time soon…

He Was A Quiet Man – Christian Slater is back! (and he’s got some acting chops!)

For all of my fellow Tina Fey fans, behold: Baby Mama

To post or not to post?

I’m a little worried about the state of this blog. I don’t really remember why I started a blog…was it the wanting friends to know what was going on in my mind without having to talk about it face-to-face? Was it to talk about ideas or opinions with others, possibly people I didn’t know? Was it to share links?

I think it may have been the first one. Then the second one was true. Now I feel like I just share links or videos that I like, hoping that others will enjoy them too. But is that really all that a blog should be? Well, Mighty Goods has done that, but I don’t think I could pull off something so amazing.

I guess I’m just looking for a reason to keep this blog going. I thought I’d want to blog about the wedding planning, but then I realized that I don’t really want unsolicited advice about things. Truly, I’d prefer to ask the advice of those closest to me, since they know my taste and can make a suggestion based on what they think I might like. So the wedding blogging is out.

I don’t have kids (yet), so the baby blogging is out.

I’m not really that great at any one thing, so the specialized topic blogging is out.

Anyway, don’t be surprised if the posting becomes even more sporadic in the coming months. On the contrary, don’t be surprised if this doubt-filled post spurs more posting in the near future. It’s all up in the air right now; I’m just waiting to see where it will land.
